Gornal Colts controlled the majority of the first half of this fixture, and the entirety of the opening 20 minutes as the rain lashed down at a sodden Dell Stadium.
Droitwich had stalwart 'keeper Matt Oliver to thank for a couple of fine saves in the opening quarter of an hour, first to repel an Alfie Auden effort, and then the lively Levi Salmon was denied as Oliver got down quickly to deny his near post drive.
Colts were well and truly in the driving seat, and Auden later found his way through one-on-one with Oliver, but the Spa stopper rushed out to block his strike well.
Connor Collins hobbled off injured after 15 minutes, and replacement Connor Baker, who had already played a full 90 minutes for the Under 21's earlier in the day, replaced him.
Slowly but surely Droitwich grew in to the game, with Perry Moss, Lewis Phillips and Luke Molloy providing threatening runs and crosses down either wing.
Cory Rudd, Molloy, Charlie Tilley and James Lemon all had efforts blocked, but when another Lemon shot did find it's way through to goal, 'keeper Aiden Cox was equal to it, as the first half ended goal-less.
The second period was a different story, as Matt Oliver didn't have a meaningful save to make and all the action, and majority of possession, was in the hosts' own half as Spa imposed themselves on the tie.
Molloy, Lemon, Rudd, Moss and Connor Baker all had chances that were either saved or wide of the mark, but just before the hour, Lemon's close range effort was well saved by Cox, only for the rebound to fall kindly to the Spa striker, who prodded in from a yard out.
It didn't take long for Spa to increase their advantage, and as a corner was only half cleared, Cory Rudd's trademark bullet shot from just outside the area gave Cox no chance as it rifled into the roof of the net.
Gornal looked more and more lethargic as the game progressed and Droitwich had further chances to extend their lead: Charlie Tilley's excellent run and curling shot from the edge of the area whistled just past the angle of post and bar being the most notable effort, but the game finished with a deserved 2-0 win for the visitors.
Andy Crowther remains unbeaten as Spa Manager, with 2 wins and one draw so far.
Droitwich have scored 4 goals and conceded 0 in the 3 games played, going in to next week-end's trip to Old Wulfrunians (ko 3pm).
