Two 2nd half goals from new signing Luke Molloy and Connor Collins were enough to take the first 3 points of the season for Andy Crowther's Droitwich Spa.
In a first half where both sides created chances, no goals were scored, but after the introduction of Luke Molloy (who returns to the club after 4 seasons at Worcester Raiders) and Perry Moss, Spa gained the advantage in the 72nd minute and turned the screw.
Connor Collins also converted a penalty 2 minutes from time to make amends for his miss at Willenhall to seal all three points.
During a pre-season full of goals (at both ends!), Spa's defence looks to have stabilised after two consecutive clean sheets.
This will be be put to a stern test this coming Saturday with a tough looking trip to The Dell Stadium, Dudley when the Saltmen face Gornal Colts (ko 3pm).
