The Saltmen were left to rue a plethora of missed chances in the first half, as a well drilled Willenhall Town deservedly left Worcestershire with a point on Wednesday evening.
Spa were quick out of the blocks with Jordan Cox forcing an early corner which Scott Braiden-Smith headed over.
More chances came and went as both Haydn Morris and Cox caused havoc down each flank, and for the first 20 minutes it was one-way traffic.
Jordan Cox, James Lemon and Connor Collins all had decent chances to put Spa in front but were either off target or well saved by Lockmen 'keeper Chris Adamson.
Eventually the break-through came when Jordan Cox cut inside and released a wonderful shot from 25 yards which went in off the angle of post and crossbar, this time giving Adamson no chance.
The deluge continued for a few more minutes and Cox almost scored direct from a corner but the alert Adamson tipped the ball over the bar.
Ben Tilbury limped off the field after half an hour, and Willenhall grew into the game and enjoyed plenty of possession, with Matt Oliver's goal threatened a few times by Tyrell McCalla and Tarrike Thomas.
Town equalised with a few minutes of the half remaining when Dilpreet Singh Sandhu jinked his way through and finished well from the edge of the area.
Willenhall continued their good work into the second half, and Spa never really got out of 2nd gear - alot of stray passes and poor control on the slippery surface which only made the visitors grow in confidence.
Sure enough, on the hour Tyrell McCalla gave the Lockmen the lead with a smart finish after being put clean through on goal.
Droitwich struggled to create many clear cut chances, and when they did Adamson was proving a tough nut to crack. Both Lemon and Collins spurned half-chances, and Braiden-Smith came close with a header.
Just as the game looked to be drifting away from Droitwich, Connor Collins popped up with a timely close range finish with 10 minutes to go, however Spa couldn't find a winner in the remainder of the game and both teams had to settle for a point, which overall was probably a fair result.
Droitwich now turn their attentions to a County Cup fixture on Friday evening (ko 7.45pm) when we take on an Evesham United XI at Walshes Meadow, Stourport.
