Droitwich Spa chalked up another 3 points, this time from an away trip at newly promoted FC Darlaston.
The first half was an even affair, with Spa enjoying the lions' share of possession, but all too often lacked quality with their final ball or were denied by home 'keeper Aaron Morris.
This played nicely into the Boltmakers' hands as they had some joy hitting Droitwich on the counter attack.
The hosts could have taken the lead twice before Droitwich got in-front. Firstly Adrian Jones forced Matt Olver into a good save, and somehow Kieran Matthews missed the target from just a couple of yards out as he found himself unmarked at the far post.
Spa's performance in the opening exchanges replicated the fact that hadn't played for almost a month, however James Lemon, Jordan Cox, Jack Davies and Connor Collins all had half-chances which were either repelled by Aaron Morris or were wide of the mark entirely.
The break-through did come for the visitors on 20 minutes when Cox's corner ricocheted off Darlaston player-manager Mark Swann and into his own net.
The home side dusted themselves down and equalised 5 minutes later as a cross from the right found Michael Eagles who made no mistake when well positioned.
More chances came and went for either side, with Droitwich opting for long-range shots which Morris was more than equal to and the half ended goal-less.
Spa were on top for the majority of the second period after what must have been a stern half-time team-talk from Mark Owen.
Morris was called upon on numerous occasions to deny the visitors as Lemon, Collins, Jack Davies, his replacement Haydn Morris and Jordan Cox all had shots well stopped, his finest save however came from Mike Seeley's header when just a few yards out - a superb reaction save which left all in attendance in disbelief!
Ben Tilbury scored the match-winner for Droitwich after some neat build-up play a classy pin-point finish from the edge of the area which nestled into the far corner to give Spa a hard fought victory with 15 minutes to go.
Darlaston kept forcing the issue but Matt Oliver was rarely pulled into any serious action, and in the closing stages a superb 25-yard effort from Connor Collins cannoned back off the underside of the cross-bar, however the match ended 2-1 to Droitwich who go back to top of the table following the three points gained.
