Table-toppers Allscott Heath proved their metal as they came from behind no less than four times to ensure an enthralling 4-4 draw on a chilly Saturday afternoon in Shropshire.
It was an even game, with the Saltmen edging the first half and Allscott the second, and indeed it was Spa who, after a strong start, took the lead as Jack Davies latched onto a pin-point cross-field pass to beat 'keeper Jay Nash at his near post after six minutes played.
The home side battled back and equalised on 17minutes when a deep cross was mis-calculated by Matt Oliver and Leigh Bridley headed home from a tight angle.
More chances came and went for the away side as Connor Collins Alex Dugmore and James Lemon came close whilst Nash had to be on is toes to deny Davies a second of the game.
Spa did go back in front however 10 minutes before the break as Ben Tilbury finished Lemon's low cross and that's how it remained until half time.
Droitwich started the second half the stronger once again and both Cox & Lemon were denied by Nash, however Allscott drew level on the hour mark as top-scorer Tom Fallon finished well after good work from Lewis MacKenzie.
Spa were determined to get their noses in front, and took the lead for a 3rd time just 5 minutes later as Jordan Cox was put through on goal - he confidently took the ball around Nash to make the score 3-2 to the visitors.
Back came Allscott who were by now enjoying the lions-share of possession, and got a 3rd equaliser which their play merited. Poor defending was attributed to this one however as Leigh Brindley found himself in acres of space at the back post to convert a simple close-range finish.
Droitwich weren't done yet though, and thought they had won it when with 8 minutes to go Connor Collins finished well from inside the area.
Inevitably, the equaliser did come, as more Allscott pressure forced a debatable and hotly disputed injury-time penalty, which Fallon held his nerve to convert making it 4-4 in a great advert for WMRL Division 1 football.
