The Saltmen slumped to a 2nd consecutive away defeat in the space of 4 days, this time at the hands of Wrens Nest on a rainy Tuesday night in Tividale.
It was a first half in which Spa would live to rue missed opportunities, as Wrens Nest took the lead after 20minutes when a defensive lapse in concentration allowed Maslow-Jones in to finish well.
Spa upped the anti and both Brad Burgess and Haydn Morris made excellent runs to create themselves chances, however the skill was sadly not matched by their respective finishes.
Home stopper Callum Stokes had to be alert to deny both Ben Tilbury, Haydn Morris & Jack Davies in the first half, as Wrens defended well expertly marshaled by Lee Salt who won absolutely everything thrown at him, however the hosts offered little going forward.
Droitwich started the second half brightly but all too often either the final ball or finish was lacking, and as the half wore on and legs got weary, the hosts started to create more chances.
Against the run of play, the Saltmen fortuitously equalized when Crowther's free-kick from the edge of the area found its way into Stokes' net via a deflection in the last minute of normal time.
Unfortunately the joy was short lived as well in to injury time, a deep cross was headed home at the far post from a Wrens forward and the home side took all three points.
Spa are back in action on Wednesday evening (ko 7.45pm) when they host Wellington Amateurs at Walshes Meadow, Stourport.
