Droitwich Spa took a big step towards booking their place in the play-offs with a 5-1 win over Heath Hayes at Kingy's.
The win extended Spa's unbeaten run to 8 games and was a second victory over the same opposition in the space of 4 days, meanwhile the Saltmen have netted 99 goals in the League so far this season, making them the 2nd highest scorers in the division.
James Lemon opened the scoring on 11 minutes when he cut inside and completed with a fine finish that nestled in at Keiran Hart's far post, however the game could have taken a different course as with 5 minutes on the clock Wellecomme looked to have been fouled in the Droitwich box, only for the match official to wave away the protests.
Spa didn't really get out of first gear but were still in control of the game, creating several good opportunities for Moss, Lemon, Molloy and Dugmore to extend the advantage before the break.
Perry Moss then struck the under-side of the cross-bar with Hart beaten.
The visitors struggled to create any clear cut chances in the first period, however were a threat on the counter attack with the pace of Connor Ryan and presence of Nick Wellecomme, however it was Spa who made it 2-0 on 45 minutes as Moss was brought down in the area by Harry Phillips when through on goal, and Luke Molloy despatched the spot kick past Hart, who on Tuesday night had saved one from the now injured Connor Collins.
Hayes had the first big chance of the 2nd half but Wellecomme put his effort way off target, however Hayes did reduce the arrears through their top scorer who raced on to a loose ball to finish well.
Just moments later on 70 minutes and determined to not allow a repeat of Tuesday evening, Haydn Morris was on hand and unmarked at the back post to side foot in to restore Spa's 2-goal lead.
On 75 minutes Alex Dugmore made it 4-1 when a ricochet in the area fell kindly for him to tap home.
As the visitors looked out of ideas, Spa continued to press and created several chances in the closing stages for James Lemon and substitutes Josh Hurdman and Ollie Thompson.
Hurdman scored his first senior goal at Kingy's after unselfish play from Lemon allowed him a simple tap-in from a couple of yards out to round off the scoring, at the same time registering Spa's 99th League goal!
Droitwich can guarantee a play-off place on Monday if they avoid defeat at Bilston Town (ko 3pm) before returning to Kingy's next Saturday to face Nuneaton Griff, and then finish the season with a visit to Cradley Town on Saturday 22nd April (ko 3pm). The Hammers all but confirmed their place in Division 1 next season with a fine 2-0 win over Coton Green on Saturday.
Unfortunately, the current bottom three of Heath Hayes, AFC Bridgnorth and Haughmond now look condemned to relegation as Smethwick Rangers also picked up a win at the weekend.
At the other end of the table, Dudley Town won 2-0 at Wednesfield, Hinckley were 0-4 winners at Chelmsley and Ashby Ivanhoe got back to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over Wolverhampton Sporting.
The game of the day at Queen Street saw a late equaliser for OJM Black Country to settle a 2-2 draw with Bilston Town.
