The Saltmen got back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over struggling Ingles at Kingy's on Saturday, in front of over 250 spectators.
It was also a special occasion for Spa's long-serving goalkeeper Matt Oliver, who after joining in 2014, made his 250th appearance for the club which was also marked with a clean sheet - his first since the Worcester City game one month ago.
The first half was a scrappy and even affair with not too many chances created, as both sides struggled to put together any free-flowing football on a difficult surface.
Spa took the lead however when good work down the right hand side from Alex Dugmore, who twisted and turned before sending in a teasing low cross between two defenders, found James Lemon who diverted the ball in to the net from close range on 7 minutes.
The visitors could have immediately equalised when Luis Corcoran found himself in a good position, but Oliver was alert to rush out of goal to deny him.
Ingles enjoyed some good possession for the next 15 minutes, but clear-cut opportunities were at a premium.
Corcoran was given another two bites of the cherry to equalise for his side, but again Oliver was on hand to keep Droitwich in the lead.
The closest that both sides came to a second goal of the afternoon Alex Dugmore's thundering header, which unluckily for Spa came back off the crossbar of Kamil Miler's goal.
At the end of the half, both Connor Collins and Lemon were denied by Miler, who saved well from close range.
As the temperature dropped, Droitwich seized the initiative in the second period, looking much more dangerous going forward and more sturdy at the back and the visitors rarely threatened Oliver's goal.
Jack Davies, James Lemon and Alex Dugmore all came close for Droitwich, but on the hour-mark Cory Rudd's sliding challenge on Harry Baguley was adjudged to be a dismissible offence, and Spa were forced to play the last third of the game with 10 men.
This didn't affect Andy Crowther's men as just 5-minutes later, another good piece of work down the right found the head of James Lemon at the back post who headed in to the far corner to make it 2-0.
Lemon could have had a hat-trick just minutes later when he found himself through on goal with just Miler to beat, but the visiting 'keeper made a fine save to deny him.
There was a welcomed return from injury for Keatley Charles, who made a nuisance of himself after coming on, but the substitute squandered his only real chance in the last 15 minutes.
At the other end, it was a half to forget for Ingles, as their two best chances cleared the 8-meter fence behind Matt Oliver's goal, and Droitwich comfortably held on for a deserved 2-0 victory.
On Tuesday evening (ko 7.45pm) Droitwich are back on the road with a short trip to MFL Premier Division side Studley in the League Cup 2nd Round.
