Alot like the weather, a wet first half display from the Saltmen was followed by a bright 2nd period, when Spa scored three goals and ultimately sealed all three points.
Spa started the game the better, and James Lemon had the first opportunity, well saved by Olly Manuel. The Copsewood stopper made an even better stop 8 minutes in, when Jack Davies's powerful strike from 18-yards took a double deflection, which tested Manuel's reflexes to the fullest, but he pulled off a fine one-handed save to tip over the bar.
The hosts were buoyed from that stop, as they controlled the rest of the first half. The speedy and powerful Bryan Kohyrelon in particular causing no end of problems for Droitwich's back line.
Kohyrelon found himself through one-on-one with Matt Oliver, but his chipped shot narrowly missed the target, and Oliver had to be alert on a further three occasions to deny Coventry's front-man.
Droitwich had their long-serving 'keeper to thank once again, making a fine save from Danny Lole's effort at close range.
Spa couldn't get a foot hold in the game, and Copsewood deservedly broke the deadlock on 35 minutes when a low corner fired in to the near post ended up in Matt Oliver's net, through a crowd of bodies.
As the rain started to pour, Spa were probably glad of the half time whistle, and when they re-emerged from the changing rooms, the sun was out and Droitwich put on a much better display for the majority of the 2nd half.
It was Copsewood who had the first opportunity to extend their lead, however Oliver was on hand again to brilliantly deny Jean Patric Gomes.
At the other end, James Lemon brought the best out of Manuel from point blank range, as Spa started to grow in confidence.
Just before the hour mark the Saltmen equalised with the goal of the game; Jack Davies's strike fell kindly back to him after being blocked, and his bullet of a half-volley from the edge of the box flew in to the bottom corner, giving the othrwise flawless Manuel no chance.
Within 60 seconds, Spa found themselves in front, as Connor Collins's flick-on found Perry Moss who made no mistake firing low across goal in to the bottom corner.
Droitwich then had a penalty awarded for a foul on Connor Collins, only to be denied by a dubious offside flag.
Spa scored their 3rd in a little under 15-minutes when a long ball from Oliver found it's way to Luke Molloy who took a touch before finishing clinically.
Copsewood huffed and puffed but struggled to create any clear-cut chances, but did pull a goal back 10 minutes from time as good work down the right from Kohyrelon followed by a low cross was finished at the back post by substitute Jordan King, despite Cory Rudd's best efforts.
The home side then claimed for a penalty, which the assistant flagged for, but referee over-ruled, and Droitwich claimed an important win despite looking rusty in the first half.
