Droitwich Spa continue a good run of form with one of their best performances of the season, 4 goals, and 4 consecutive clean sheets after Tuesday night's 'shires derby win over Bromyard Town.
The Saltmen started the match brightly and were a whisker away from taking the lead in the 5th minute as James Lemon's diving header didn't quite connect Luke Molloy's cross.
More chances followed for Molly, Lemon, Connor Collins and Cory Rudd, which were either off target or visiting 'keeper Alex Rhodes was equal to.
Town showed flashes of danger with bags of pace going forward, however early efforts were also not enough to trouble Matt Oliver in the Spa goal.
Haydn Morris gave Droitwich the lead on 15 minutes after excellent work down the left from James Lemon, whose low cross was met by the winger 6-yards out, giving Rhodes no chance.
Droitwich were playing some quick passing football, which the Town defence struggled to cope with, and it wasn't long before Morris doubled Spa's lead, and his own personal goal scoring tally for the season, when a defensive error allowed Morris in one-on-one with Rhodes to clinically finish into the bottom corner.
Bromyard struggled to get their foot on the ball, with several miss-placed passes and long clearances which their attacking players couldn't benefit from, however their best chance of the game fell to former Spa player Ollie Thompson, whose close range effort was saved low down by Oliver, and the rebound hit the post and was subsequently cleared by debutant Sam Carey to ensure the score stayed 2-0 at the break.
As expected, Bromyard started the 2nd half on the front foot and Spa sat back. However the visitors struggled to create any real clear cut chances as Droitwich defended well.
After absorbing some pressure, Droitwich found their 2nd wind and efforts from Morris, Molloy, Lemon and Rudd all threatened Alex Rhodes's goal.
The third goal, and Haydn Morris's hat-trick (his first for the club since joining in 2015) was a sublime low drive from the edge of the area mid-way through the second half.
His replacement Perry Moss also got his name on the score sheet with a wonderful solo effort as he turned the Town defence inside-out and finished well across goal into the bottom corner to give Droitwich a 4-0 win over difficult opponents.
Next up, on Saturday (ko 3pm) is another tough-looking fixture when the Saltmen visit a much improved FC Darlaston at Bilston Town's Queen Street ground. Our opponents also have a 5-game winning run to preserve, one which has lifted them off the bottom of the table and away from the relegation zone. More details to follow.
