In difficult conditions at Redditch Borough's impressive home ground, the Saltmen ensured safe passage to the last 8 of the County Cup thanks to first half goals from James Lemon and Alex Dugmore.

Spa dominated the first half and created numerous opportunities before James Lemon's close range opener on 20 minutes.

Connor Collins, Haydn Morris, Luke Molloy and Cory Rudd all had half chances to give Droitwich an advantage, however home stopper Court was equal to everything that was thrown at him.

Despite having Connor Collins "sin-binned" for 10 minutes, Spa's perseverance paid off, when Brighton's cross and Morris's shot was saved by Court and the Droitwich captain James Lemon prodded home the rebound.
Droitwich kept the pressure on and it wasn't long before Alex Dugmore rose highest in a crowded penalty area to head home into the top corner.

Borough struggled to break Spa down and were unable to register any chances of note during the first period.

Manager Andy Crowther made several changes over the second period, and Redditch enjoyed a lot more possession as they searched for a way back in to the game.
A reply did come when veteran striker Paul Bonar found himself with space in the area to nod in from a corner.

Despite the home side's possession, they struggled to create any meaningful chances, and it was the Saltmen who came closest to extending their lead.
Court pulled off a fantastic save to deny Lemon a second, and the Spa captain's opportunistic lob from a distance narrowly missed the target, whilst substitute Connor Baker was denied a certain goal by some excellent defending.

Droitwich are through to next round, along with the following sides, who also won their weekend 3rd round ties;
Fairfield Villa, Bredon, Worcester City Reserves, Inkberrow, Welland, Droitwich Spa Under 21, Meadow Park or Badsey Rangers.
