Spa played their part in a strange game of football at Delahay Meadow on Tuesday evening and in the end ran out 2-1 victors to progress to the League Cup Semi-Finals.

The first half was completely dominated by the Saltmen - kicking up the slope, however Spa contrived to miss a host of chances.

Andy Crowther made 3 changes from the last game at Wellington, and both wingers Brad Burgess and Haydn Morris gave Town's defence a thorough work-out.
Connor Collins missed 3 good chances whilst Burgess, Ben Tilbury and James Lemon all came close to breaking the deadlock.

However, Bromyard took the lead on 25mins as a deep corner found Jason Wellings unmarked at the back post who made no mistake in heading the ball home.

Spa replied and Connor hit the the woodwork and home 'keeper Alex Rhodes made several decent stops to ensure the Herefordshire side went in a goal to the good at the break.

The tables had turned for the second half, and it was Bromyard who did all the running. Spa threatened with a couple of half chances, but Matty Oliver did well to deny Jake Hollylee and Matt Middleton from adding to the hosts' lead.

Spa replied as another long range effort from Cory Rudd cannoned back off the cross-bar and sub Jordan Cox fired wide.

James Lemon equalised from close range on 82 minutes, and Spa sealed the win in the last minute as a pin-point through ball was latched onto by Jack Davies who, with just Rhodes to beat, finished clinically to send Droitwich through.
