Droitwich Spa FC are delighted to announce the signing of James Baldwin from Redditch Borough.
After 11 and a half years, James returns to Spa; the club where he started his playing career at just 16 years old!
He made his debut in a 2-0 win over Perrywood in the Worcestershire Junior Cup in 2013, and that season with 10 goals in 21 games, played a big part in saving Droitwich Spa from relegation to the MFL Division 3!
The following season after 2 goals in 3 appearances “Balders” had attracted a lot of interest from higher up the pyramid, and he moved on to Stourport Swifts, two Divisions above.
Since then, he’s appeared for Lye Town, Westfields, Pershore Town, Worcester City, Bishops Cleeve, Worcester Raiders, Malvern Town, Hereford Pegasus, Bromyard Town and most recently Redditch Borough, where he’s scored 13 goals in 22 games in the Hellenic League Division 1 this season.
A few weeks ago, he scored 4 goals in Redditch’s 0-7 win at Carterton!
Comfortable in any position across the front-line James brings a wealth of experience and a proven goalscoring record at Step 5 and above, and we are delighted to welcome him back to where it all began!
We look forward to seeing him back in a Spa shirt after such a long time!
