Droitwich Spa 4-0 Mangotsfield United

Droitwich’s final home game of the season ended 4-0 to the Saltmen against Mangotsfield United this Saturday.

Spa stamped their authority on the game early on, with a low driven shot from Charlie Tilley in the 5th minute saved by Selway.
Droitwich saw all sorts of early chances, with a multitude of Dugmore attempts just missing the target.

Eventually, Dugmore did manage to break the deadlock, in the 28th minute.
He got on the end of a picture perfect cross from James Baldwin.

The lead was almost doubled in the 32nd minute, after Perry Moss sent a fantastic curled effort from 35 yards out to the angle of the bar.

The 37th minute was where United first tested Spa, forcing an impeccable double save from Stockton.

Perry Moss got a well deserved goal just before the close of the half, in the 45th minute, as he lashed home to make the game 2-0 to Spa.

The second half began with more Perry Moss dominance, with his curled effort in the 53rd minute going just wide.

The 59th minute saw the third goal of the game, with Rohan Levy getting the deciding touch that brought the game to 3-0.

The offside flag denied Levy a brace in the 63rd minute, as he was close to getting his second.

Substitute Josh Hurdman rattled the post in the 68th minute, but was unable to find the corner of the net.

He returned again in the 80th minute, firing his attempt just wide after a series of twists and turns.

Mangotsfield’s best attempt of the came from Harry Simons’ volley in the 85th minute, but it went just wide of the post.

Reiss Taylor-Randle added insult to injury in the 87th minute, making the game 4-0 with a clinical chip over Selway.

James Lemon and Sam Hurdman came close during extra time, but the final whistle blew at 4-0 to Spa, with a crowd of 271 coming to Kingy’s for the end of the league campaign.

Droitwich are back in action at Kingy’s on Tuesday night (ko 7.45pm) against Cirencester Town in the Semi Final of the promotion Play-offs.
