The game started fiery with both teams clearly aware of the importance of the game.
Just like the previous game, both sides were unable to keep good possession of the ball and struggled to create any good chances in front of goal, so the first half was an end to end affair, with neither goalkeepers being threatened.
The best chance for Droitwich came after 30 minutes when a Cory Rudd pass from the half way line found Nathan Binner whose shot went wide of the top right corner.

Minutes before the referee blew the whistle for half time, Slimbridge broke the deadlock.
The goal came from Olly Sully who dribbled the ball past four Droitwich players into the box and his shot hit the back of the net.

The Saltmen tried hard in the second half to find a goal but there was no way through The Swans’ well organized defence.
The best chance of the half came from a James Baldwin shot that Slimbridge ‘keeper Stephen Sarkodie did well to save.

Droitwich ‘keeper, Joe Stockton, made some good saves to keep the score line at just 1-0, while Jack Brighton also made a vital block to keep the ball out of the goal.

However, Spa’s defence could not hold out and Slimbridge scored their second goal on 85 minutes, courtesy of Shiyak Sutherland. It came from a close range shot from the left which went past Stockton at the near post and into the goal.

The Swans made it 3-0 just one minute later as Jack W Smith took on two defenders and struck past Stockton as he closed in.

The Saltmen look to bounce back over a busy Easter weekend and after a poor run of results, as on Saturday they travel to Longlevens (ko 3pm) before returning to Kingy's on Bank Holiday Monday for a home fixture against Hereford Pegasus (ko 3pm).
