Droitwich Spa set off on the road to Wembley in the Isuzu FA Vase 1st Qualifying Round against MFL Division 1 side Coventry Copsewood this Saturday (ko 3pm).

Due to Copsewood's Allard Way home being unavailable, the fixture has been moved to Kingy's.

The Sky Blues play their football at Step 6 of the Pyramid, in the MFL Division 1 and have had a challenging start to the season, having drawn one and lost two of their opening three games, conceding 12 goals in the process.
On Saturday, Copsewood ran title favourites Coalville Town close (4-3), with the Leicestershire outfit scoring a 92nd minute winner to eventually take all three points.

The two clubs have met on four previous occasions, and Spa have the upper hand with three wins to one.
Copsewood have never won at Kingy's, but still have among their ranks the experienced George Steele, Sean Cavanagh and Sam Ellis.
Both of Coventry's leading scorers from 2025-26 have left the club in Archie Gallagher (15 goals) and Eden Mukenge (11 goals) and the Allard Way side have had a bit of a re-build on their hands.

Droitwich will go into the game as favourites due to their superior League status at Step 5, benefitting from Home advantage and the boost in confidence gained from a fine 0-2 win at Dudley Town in the FA Cup last Friday; the Saltmen's first win and goals of the season under new Manager Quentin Townsend, and a first ever win in the FA Cup.

Nathan Binner will be suspended for the Vase tie with Copsewood owing to the red card received on the opening day, whilst both Sam Hurdman and Archie Thurston picked up knocks at Dudley and will have to be assessed for fitness ahead of the game.
Meanwhile, Lewis Phillips & Sam Carey return to the squad after being unavailable the previous week.

Copsewood's best run in the FA Vase was back in 2010 when they reached the 2nd Round proper whilst Droitwich's record progress came in 2024, as Spa reached the 3rd Round.
