The 2026-27 season gets underway this Saturday in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division, and for Droitwich Spa FC that means a trip to Roman Glass St George (ko 3pm).

The two sides finished 2nd and 3rd respectively last season with just one point between them, and both sides were beaten by Worcester Raiders in the Play-offs.

Glass will likely be seen as favourites for the League title this campaign, especially as they have ensured continuity having been able to retain the vast majority of last seasons' squad and Management team.

On the other hand, Droitwich, for the first time in the last ten years, saw a big upheaval in the last couple of months, with around half of last seasons' regular starters leave the club as well as the entire Management team.

New Manager Quentin Townsend and Coaches Mark Owen & Sam Johnstone will make their competitive debut on the Spa bench on Saturday with the core of the remainder of last seasons' squad.
Alongside them, Townsend has put his faith in youth, as the vast majority of the new signings will be set to make their debut in Step 5 and senior football this campaign.

In their previous meetings last season, Glass ran out 3-1 winners at Oaklands Park while Spa managed a victory of 4-1 at Kingy's.
