It will be a tough test against a Knowle side that lost just two games and amassed a whopping 115 points last season to achieve promotion to Step 5 for the first time in their history.

The club are really going places both on and off the pitch, with some great attendances last season and improvements made to their home ground over the last couple of years.

The two clubs met frequently at Step 7 in the Midland Combination and Midland Football League, but of late, with two consecutive promotions, The Robins now find themselves in the United Counties League Premier Division South.

Their pre-season form has been impressive, having defeated higher ranked opposition in Boldmere St Michael (Step 4) 0-4, Solihull Moors (Step 1) 1-0 AFC Solihull and Coventry Alvis (Step 7) 1-6.

With the majority of Knowle's title winning squad retained, this will be a very stern test for Droitwich, who have seen a lot of upheaval over pre-season and are starting a fresh under a new management team.
The early signs have been encouraging from The Saltmen, who have tested themselves against higher ranked opposition and despite being defeated have not disappointed with their organisation & performance levels.
