The Saltmen prepare for their 3rd Pre-season Friendly fixture which takes place on Saturday (ko 3pm) away at Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 side Alcester Town.

The Romans, having secured promotion to Step 6 in 2024/25, had a great first season in Division 1 by achieving a comfortable 8th placed finish, 12 points off the Play-off spots and well clear of any relegation worries.

Manager Aaron Blackwood has retained several of last seasons' squad, and will no doubt be looking to improve on last years' finish in 2026/27.

In Town's only previous friendly, they went down 1-2 against another Step 6 side in Chelmsley Town last Saturday.

The two clubs met this time last year at a neutral venue and Droitwich ran out 2-1 winners.

Quentin Townsend's men have played two friendlies so far, and despite good performances, tasted defeat against higher-ranked opposition Bishops Cleeve (3-0) and Slimbridge (2-0).

Spa will be looking to bag their first win of pre-season on Saturday, and hope to see another healthy contingent of Droitwich supporters for this local game.
