Droitwich Spa 3-0 Bustleholme
By Ben Lloyd
Spa chalk up 2nd straight win
A quick start from the Saltmen ensured that they overcame struggling Bustleholme at Walshes Meadow.
Spa were 2-0 to the good with barely 6 minutes on the clock - first a sweetly struck 20-yard free kick from Ben Tilbury arrowed into the bottom corner, then Callum Morris scored a 5th goal in his last 2 appearances after some exquisite control from Allerton's chipped pass allowed him to slide the ball coolly passed the on rushing goal-keeper.
The first half was one way traffic as Ben Tilbury, Haydn Morris and Jack Davies spurned further chances before Tilbury made it 3-0 half way through the first period after converting a penalty.
The last meeting between the two sides ended in a 10-0 victory for Droitwich back in January and Bustleholme may have been fearing that a repeat may be on the cards, but the visitors rallied and defended well for the remainder of the first half.
The second half was a none event - Droitwich endeavoured to retain possession and created little, whilst a well organised defence and midfield performance from the visitors limited the hosts, and really Bustleholme should have got at least a goal back.
The yellows started the half extremely well and created several chances in the opening quarter of an hour, but Spa weathered the storm and saw the game out for a 3-0 victory with no 2nd half chances of note.
