Game of two halves sees promotion rivals share the spoils

Both sides came into the game with aspirations of promotion, however both sides also had major injury and unavailability problems, hampering them from fielding full strength sides.

Droitwich started the better of the two sides and dominated the majority of the first half as a disappointing opening 45 from the viitors saw Matt Oliver in the Spa goal a virtual spectator.

League top scorer Nick Seabourne almost opened the scoring early on - rounding the Bears 'keeper Josh Benton before a brilliant last ditch clearance from Crowley denied Seabourne adding to his tally.

Seabourne again came close with a header from Szikora's long throw but his tame header didn't make Benton work too hard for the save and the same cold be said for Haydn Morris moments later.
An awkward landing from the returning Matt Seeley for Paget saw a lengthy delay to proceedings as he was strechered off just before the break.

The Saltmen then took the lead after good work from Molloy and Crisp who fed Seabourne to cut inside and fire a low shot into the bottom corner past the despairing Benton to give the hosts a deserved half time lead.

It took Paget another 20 minutes of the second half to get into their stride and show why they are serious promotion candidates, however Spa were their own worst enemies after defending resolutely for so long.

They were forced back deep into their own half after a good 10 minute spell for the visitors, and after Craig Evans' wayward effort, excellent work from substitute Billy Fagg sent veteran marksman Mark Bellingham clear and he rolled back the years to beat Oliver from close range for the equaliser.

Droitwich then fought back and Jamie Smith forced a great save from Benton direct from a corner and Nick Seabourne went close with a header.

The introduction of Ikouara injected some much needed pace for the visitors and he pulled a decent save from Oliver and for the final ten minutes the game fizzled out and both sides had to settle for a probably fair point.
