Knowle 2-0 Saltmen

The game started with Droitwich on top - an early Nick Seabourne header crashed off the bar and went out after a wave of Spa attacks.

The half was a drab, midfield battle with neither side able to force saves from the corresponding 'keeper. The only other chance of note was when Jamie Smith's persistance and low cross/shot flashed across the face of goal.

The second half started in a similar fashion with the visitors pushing forward - Nick Seabourne had the ball in the back of the net on 48 minutes only for him to be flagged offside.

The game then peetered out again and Knowle were looking more dangerous. Oliver had to make a decent save from Jaynes to keep the scores level, but a Knowle substitution changed the game in their favour.
On 70 minutes, Litwinko cut in on the right hand side and his cross come shot looped over everyone and into the top corner.

Both Crisp and Smith hobbled off in the second half for the second week running, but the goal did seem to spark the Saltmen into life, however they couldn't break down a sturdy home defence controlled by Ingram and stalwart Mallet.
A couple of decent deliveries from Molloy and Brighton had the 'keeper struggling and Lemon had a shot cleared off the line.
Desparate to get a point, Droitwich poured forward but their long ball tactic was unsuccesful easily mopped up by the back-line.

In time added on, Knowle deservedly wrapped up the points when the ball fell kindly for substitute Connolly who tucked the ball under Oliver from close range.

Another poor performance from Droitwich and they were made to pay by a useful looking Knowle side. Another tough trip awaits the Saltmen on Tuesday night when they visit Redditch Borough at the Valley Stadium, ko 7.45pm
